Description
Born in Santiago, Chile, Dr. Balcells completed her medical training and ophthalmology residency at Universidad De Chile. She then completed a two-year fellowship in Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery at Cincinnati Eye Institute. Dr. Balcells specializes in surgical reconstruction, performing lid and lacrimal repairs weekly. She is the Oculoplastics chief consultant at the National Eye Trauma Unit of Chile and the Plastic Surgery Service of a Pediatric Hospital.
